Habitat for Humanity Planning Major Magic Valley Fundraiser Celebration

One of the Magic Valley’s biggest nonprofit organizations is already gearing up for a major community fundraising event that will help support affordable housing projects across Southern Idaho.

Mustard Seed and local community partners are helping spread awareness for upcoming fundraising efforts connected to Habitat for Humanity of the Magic Valley and its annual “Tuxes & Tool-Belts Ball.”

Organizers say the fundraiser helps support affordable home construction and housing assistance programs for local families throughout the Magic Valley. This year’s event will also celebrate Habitat for Humanity’s 35 years of service in the region and the 20th anniversary of the organization’s ReStore operations.

The nonprofit says proceeds from the fundraiser directly support local homebuilding projects and help families work toward stable, affordable housing opportunities.

Community sponsors, businesses, and volunteers are already beginning preparations for the event, which organizers say has become one of the organization’s largest annual community gatherings.

And honestly, there’s something pretty awesome about a fundraiser where people can dress fancy while simultaneously helping build homes for local families. It’s basically “construction couture,” which sounds like a HGTV show waiting to happen.

Habitat officials say the event continues to grow every year thanks to strong community support throughout the Magic Valley.
