QUESTION OF THE DAY:  According to Bloomberg Law, next week 78% of U.S. employers are giving their workers a four-day paid Thanksgiving Weekend. That means a paid holiday on Black Friday. Here's an interesting stat: 85% will provide some form of extra compensation, whether it's time-and-a-half pay, or double-time pay, or compensation time for working Black Friday.  We haven't been told OFFICIALLY here in radio land if it's a day off or if we have to come in, but TYPICALLY the owners of our company are SO COMPLETELY AWESOME (self-admitted brown-nosing) that they give us the full four day weekend.  What's it like at YOUR workplace?  Do you HAVE to work Black Friday?  Do you get paid extra for it?  If it were up to you, would you work it for extra pay, or take the extra day off to let the turkey settle (or for some, shop until your brain hurts)? Former "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks has been keeping two big secrets - which in today's world of Twitter, TMZ and Papparrazi is almost impossible for celebrities.  Not only did she get married in JULY to boyfriend Dana Isaiah, but she's also expecting her first child!  She says she and her man secretly eloped in Hawaii back in July and got married in front of a small group of friends.  Then, the BIG announcement - that she's pregnant and has been since August!  Jordin said learning she was pregnant was an "initial shock" but now she's excited about sharing the news.

It's been rumored that the Spice Girls are reuniting, complete with plans to roll out a new album next year - but from the sounds of things, it'll be the original Spice Girls minus one... because Victoria Beckham doesn't wanna be part of it.  Sources close to Victoria say she will NOT be involved in any possible Spice Girls reunion, if one happens. According to a U.K. report, they're said to be releasing a new album in 2018, and making an appearance on a TV special.  But word on the street is that Victoria and her camp have not been part of the talks, and no one's reached out to them to join negotiations.

Mario may be taking a second stab at the big screen. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Illumination Entertainment — the production company behind Minions and Despicable Me — is close to a deal with Nintendo to make an animated film based on Super Mario.  According to the report, Illumination has been in talks about the move for nearly a year, and the major sticking point for Nintendo has been ensuring that the company is heavily involved in the creative process, which isn't surprising considering the 1993 live-action Mario film was an infamous disaster.  When reached for comment, a Nintendo representative said that “We have nothing to announce on this topic.”
