ICE Arrests Surge in Idaho
ICE arrests in Idaho have skyrocketed nearly 800% in 2025 compared to last year. Over 360 arrests and 400+ detentions have been reported. Immigration attorneys say ICE is using more aggressive tactics, including vehicle extractions and expedited removal procedures.
Twin Falls Budget & Tax Update
The city of Twin Falls is proposing a $95 million budget for next year, $7 million less than last year. However, property tax rates could rise—an increase of 13 cents to $5.06 per $1,000 of taxable value. A public hearing is scheduled for August 25.
Girl Swept into Drainage Culvert
A 15-year-old girl was hospitalized after being pulled into a drainage culvert at Banbury Hot Springs near Buhl. She was in a restricted pond area when swept into the river. Bystanders performed CPR before she was airlifted.

3-Vehicle Crash Near Buhl
One person was hospitalized with minor injuries after a semi struck a tractor, causing it to hit a tree-trimming truck near Buhl. No citations were issued due to limited visibility near a hillcrest.
Traffic Alert: Twin Falls Valve Work
Expect traffic delays Thursday night as crews install a new water valve at Blue Lakes Blvd and Kimberly Rd. Work runs 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Lanes will be reduced to one in each direction.
Meth-Addled Break-In on Main Ave
Wendell Musser, 40, was arrested after breaking into a car dealership in Twin Falls. He cut himself on broken glass, fought police, and admitted to using meth. His hearing is set for August 15.

Boise State’s Mason Hutton Honored
Mason Hutton has made the Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List for top college long snapper. He’s Boise State’s first-ever nominee and led the Mountain West in 133 snaps last season.
Idaho State Bengals Release Schedule
The ISU Men’s Basketball team has released its 2025–26 Big Sky schedule. Opening Jan. 1 at home vs. Sacramento State. They’ll play 31 games, with 14 at Reed Gym. Senior Day: Feb. 28.
CSI Signs Guard Treyvion Curry
The College of Southern Idaho has signed Treyvion Curry, a 6’2” guard from Arizona. Known for explosive athleticism, he brings high energy to the court this season.
Boise State Ranked #25 Nationally
Boise State lands at No. 25 in the USA Today Coaches Poll—the only Group of Five team in the rankings. Texas is #1, followed by Ohio State. Notre Dame, a Boise opponent, is ranked #5. The AP Poll drops next Monday.
