Governor Brad Little says Idaho has issued a record number of tax refunds this year. More than 826-thousand taxpayers have received refunds totaling nearly 579 million dollars. State officials say that’s a 25 percent increase in refunds issued compared to last year.

A developing story this morning. A shooting investigation is underway at an IHOP in Meridian near Eagle Road and Fairview Avenue. Police say the scene is secure and there is no threat to the public. 🏈 IDAHO STATE EXTENDS CODY HAWKINS

Idaho State is keeping football coach Cody Hawkins around for the long haul. The Bengals have signed Hawkins to a contract extension through the 2031 season after leading the program’s turnaround over the past three years. Idaho State finished 6-and-6 last season, won four straight to end the regular season, and posted its best Big Sky finish since 2018. The Bengals also led the conference in total offense and passing offense. Idaho State opens the 2026 season August 29th at home against VMI.

πŸƒ BOISE STATE TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES HEAD TO NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Four Boise State track and field athletes are headed to the NCAA Outdoor Championships this week in Eugene, Oregon. Abby Kendrick and Emily Jobes will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Kaiya Robertson races in the 1,500 meters, and Raekwon Weatherspoon takes part in the long jump. It’s the most Broncos qualified for the outdoor national championships since 2015.
